# Versions and changes

The Dyme MCP server has one version number, sent as `serverInfo.version` when an assistant connects and as `version` in [tools.json](https://mcp.dyme.earth/docs/tools.json). `tools.json` also carries a `fingerprint`: a short hash of every tool's name, arguments and hints. If the fingerprint you saw last differs from today's, the tools have changed, and this page says how.

## How the version moves

| Change | Version |
|---|---|
| A tool is removed or renamed, or an argument is removed or becomes required | Major (2.0.0) |
| A tool or an optional argument is added | Minor (1.2.0) |
| Wording, results or fixes, with the same tools and arguments | Patch (1.1.1) |

A tool or argument that is going away is marked here at least 30 days before it is removed.

## 1.1.2, 8 November 2026

Tool fingerprint: `68a57b23cf2a` (unchanged)

- Every argument now has a description. 63 had none; the tool reference showed blank cells for them.

## 1.1.1, 7 November 2026

Tool fingerprint: `68a57b23cf2a` (unchanged: no tool or argument changed)

- The tool reference now carries every argument's description and type, and a `deprecated` note on tools that are going away.
- `request_cancellation` is marked deprecated in `tools.json`; use `request_change` with `kind: "cancel"`.
- Two tool titles and the over-allowance message now use US spelling ("traveler").
- New: `GET /health` (public, no sign-in), ETags on `/docs/*` so a client can check for changes with `If-None-Match`, and the Quickstart and For developers pages.
- Corrections to the docs: allowances and caps are counted per server today; a price comparison waits up to 40 seconds before answering with a filling-in card; the exact error wording.

## 1.1.0, 7 November 2026

Tool fingerprint: `68a57b23cf2a`

- First published version of the tool reference and these docs.
- Every argument has a declared type.
- Every tool carries `annotations.title` and a read-only or destructive hint.
- 46 tools: 40 the assistant's model uses and 6 that only the result cards call.

### Planned changes

- `request_cancellation` will be retired in a future major version. `request_change` with `kind: "cancel"` does the same thing and is the one to use.

Earlier versions were not recorded.
