Growing over 650,000 trees
Harry & David grows over 650,000 pears trees in Southern Oregon alone. In 2022, the tree planting program donated close to 900 dwarf pine trees to 10 state parks in Ohio. Since starting the program in 1989, H&D recycled more than 31,000 tons of materials. Through online marketing initiatives, paper output was trimmed by 35% by eliminating more than 37 million catalogs.
Investing in renewable energy
To reduce carbon emissions even further, Harry & David is launching eco-friendly gift cards in partnership with Dyme. For every gift card sold, as a thank you, Harry & David is going to support clean energy for schools and communities in the US, at no extra cost for the consumer. Consumers will be also able to account their carbon emissions in Dyme’s app.
