In 2022 alone, over 2.2 million riders tried Lyft’s shared micromobility systems for the first time. Ebikes in particular were a popular mode, totaling over 18.3 million trips to travel nearly 40 million miles. Lyft operates eight systems in the U.S. and serves as a supplier to over 45 markets across 15 countries around the world including the option to purchase Lyft gift card egifts (sent to the recipient’s email address) for convenient and eco-friendly travel using the Lyft app. Additionally, Lyft is North America’s largest bikeshare provider, offering the option to scoot around town on two wheels.

In 2023, over 150 million miles and 8 million passengers were driven in zero-emission vehicles on the Lyft platform. We’re investing in EV driver incentives, expanding the Express Drive EV rental program, helping drivers access discounted fast charging, and advocating for smart EV policy.
Investing in an electric future
Over the course of 2024 and 2025, Lyft will invest an additional $80 million to support EV drivers and encourage gas-powered drivers to make the switch. This investment is expected to help Lyft reach 100 million all-time EV rides on the platform by the end of 2025.

Lyft’s total electricity consumption in 2021, including renewable electricity was 20,674 MWh. It’s purchased renewable electricity consumption in 2021 was 27,869 MWh, covering both facility (20,674 MWh) and consumption by EVs on the Lyft platform (7,195 MWh).
