Physical Best Buy gift cards are activated at any US Best Buy store register at the time of purchase. E-gift cards bought through Dyme or bestbuy.com are activated immediately. You can also call 1-888-716-7994 for activation assistance.
Through Dyme, e-gift cards range from $5 to $500. Through bestbuy.com or any Best Buy store, physical and e-gift cards are available in whole-dollar increments from $15 to $500.
Balance, reloads & expiry
No. Best Buy gift cards never expire and carry no dormancy or service fees. The full purchased value stays on the card until spent.
Enter the card number and PIN on the Best Buy gift card balance page at bestbuy.com/gift-card-balance, or call 1-888-716-7994. The current balance shows immediately. Check your Best Buy balance
No. Best Buy gift cards are not reloadable. Once the balance is depleted, you need to purchase a new card.
Refunds, lost cards & acceptance
No. Best Buy gift cards are non-refundable once purchased. They can be re-gifted or applied toward any eligible purchase in store or online.
Call 1-888-716-7994. Best Buy will replace a lost, stolen, or damaged card for the remaining balance if you have the original purchase receipt. Replacement is not available without proof of purchase.
No. Best Buy gift cards are only accepted at Best Buy stores and bestbuy.com. They cannot be used at Amazon, Apple, or any other retailer. Best Buy does sell Amazon and Apple gift cards in store and online if you want to buy those as gifts.
