No. Disney e-gift cards are ready to use as soon as they are delivered to your email. Physical cards are activated at the point of purchase.

Balance, reloads & expiry
No. Disney gift cards have no expiration date and no inactivity fees.

Yes. Disney gift cards can be reloaded at any Disney location that sells gift cards (Walt Disney World, Disneyland, Disney Store), in amounts from $5 to $1,000 per transaction, provided the total card balance does not exceed $1,000. Online reloading is not currently available.
Refunds, lost cards & acceptance
Call 1-877-650-4327 immediately. Disney will freeze the card and transfer any remaining balance to a new card if you can provide the first 12 digits of the card number and your original proof of purchase. Registering your cards at disneygiftcard.com beforehand gives you a record of card numbers.
No. Disney gift cards cannot be redeemed for cash, except where required by law.
No. Standard Disney gift cards cannot be used to pay for a Disney+ subscription. Disney sells separate Disney+ gift cards specifically for streaming subscriptions, available at disneystore.com and select retailers.
