Using your gift card

Open the Instacart app or go to instacart.com, navigate to Account, then Credits and Gift Cards, and enter the code. The credit applies automatically to future orders covering the item subtotal and service and delivery fees. Tips are billed separately.

Yes. Multiple codes pool into one credit balance on the account. The combined credit applies before any payment card is charged at checkout.

$25 to $250 through Dyme. Instacart.com and retail racks typically offer $25, $50, and $100 denominations.

Balance, reloads & expiry

No. Instacart gift cards carry no expiration date and no fees. Once redeemed, the credit stays on the account until it is used across orders.

Instacart is an app-based delivery service, so the card loads as account credit rather than a card-linked balance. After you redeem the code in the app or on instacart.com, the credit appears automatically at checkout and is drawn down before any payment card on file is charged. Instacart does not have a separate balance-check page.

Refunds, lost cards & acceptance

No. Gift cards are non-refundable once purchased. An unredeemed code can be re-gifted.

Instacart will not replace a lost or stolen gift card code. Once the code is redeemed by anyone, the balance is theirs. Keep the code private and treat it like cash. Instacart's only remedy is replacement of a defective (non-functional) card, not a lost or stolen one.

No. Instacart gift card credit is tied exclusively to your Instacart account and cannot be transferred to Shipt, Walmart+, DoorDash, or any other grocery or delivery platform. You need a separate gift card for each service.

Buying & corporate

Yes. Instacart has a business and corporate gifting program with bulk digital codes and invoicing for employee grocery stipends and rewards. Contact Instacart Business for volume pricing.
