No. Michaels gift cards do not expire and carry no dormancy or service fees. The full value stays on the card until redeemed.

Refunds, lost cards & acceptance
No. Michaels gift cards are non-refundable once purchased. They can be re-gifted or applied to any purchase.
Michaels treats gift cards like cash and will not replace them if lost or stolen. To protect your balance, keep the card number and PIN private. If you lose a card before using it, contact Michaels customer service at 1-800-642-4235 with your proof of purchase — they may be able to check the balance status, though replacement is not guaranteed.
No. A Michaels gift card is only valid at Michaels stores and michaels.com. Hobby Lobby and Joann run their own separate gift card programs and do not accept Michaels cards.
