Using your gift card

Because the card does not expire, there is no deadline. However, the donation only counts after the recipient redeems — unused cards leave the funds in limbo. Encourage the recipient to redeem within a few months so the support reaches the parks.

Funds support the National Park Foundation's mission across more than 400 national parks: trail and habitat restoration, youth and education programs, historic preservation, and grants the Park Service's own budget cannot always cover. The Foundation is rated by Charity Navigator and the BBB Wise Giving Alliance.

Refunds, lost cards & acceptance

The National Park Foundation gift card terms do not provide for replacement of lost or stolen cards. Keep the card code secure. If you lose an unredeemed card, contact the National Park Foundation or the store.findyourpark.com customer service with your purchase confirmation — they may be able to assist, but replacement is not guaranteed.

No. Once purchased, gift cards are non-returnable and non-refundable, consistent with the standard policy for charitable gift cards. If you need to support a specific program or want a direct receipt yourself, donate directly at nationalparks.org.

Buying & corporate

The buyer's purchase of the gift card is not deductible. When the recipient redeems the card, the redemption is recorded as a donation in their name and the tax-deductible receipt goes to them. If you want the deduction yourself, donate directly at nationalparks.org instead.

Yes. The Foundation has an employer and employee giving program that can include gift cards for corporate giving campaigns. Contact the Foundation through nationalparks.org for bulk and corporate gifting inquiries.
