The card covers health, beauty, household, food, and photo. Prescriptions, tobacco, lottery tickets, money orders, and third-party gift cards are excluded; alcohol restrictions vary by state. $5 to $500 in any whole-dollar amount through walgreens.com or any Walgreens register, and $25 to $200 through Dyme.
Balance, reloads & expiry
No. Walgreens gift cards do not expire and carry no dormancy or inactivity fees. The balance stays intact until it is spent.
Enter the card number and PIN at walgreens.com/topic/walgreensgiftcards.jsp, or call 1-866-922-7312 (for cards starting with 627857101 or 627857105). A store associate can also look it up at the register. Check your Walgreens balance
Refunds, lost cards & acceptance
Walgreens is not responsible for lost, stolen, or destroyed gift cards and does not guarantee replacement. Treat the card number and PIN like cash. Walgreens does have a lost/stolen reporting form on its site, but replacement is not assured without proof of purchase.

Yes. Walgreens carries a substantial third-party gift card rack in most stores, stocking popular brands in entertainment, dining, retail, and prepaid categories. Note that a Walgreens gift card cannot be used to purchase those third-party cards.
