Koreatown is along the Wilshire corridor between Western Avenue and Hoover Street, with Metro B and D Line stations at Wilshire/Vermont, Wilshire/Normandie, and Wilshire/Western putting most of the neighborhood within a 10-minute walk of rail. The five hotels below cover mid-range and upscale segments, all physically within the neighborhood boundaries, selected on star rating and guest review scores.
How we selected these hotels
Only hotels inside Koreatown were considered. They were then ranked using:
- 1. A street address inside the district: Beverly Boulevard to the north, Pico Boulevard to the south, Western Avenue to the west, and Hoover Street to the east.
- 2. Star rating.
- 3. Guest review score.
- 4. A verified sustainability credential, which moved a property ahead of others at the same star level.
Short-term rentals and hostels were left off. Any property we could not confirm as operating under its stated name was dropped.

- The 3-mile stretch of Wilshire between Vermont and Western has some of the densest Korean restaurant and retail concentration in the US, all walkable from any hotel on this list.

Is Koreatown a good area to stay in Los Angeles?+
It is one of the better value bases in the city if you want to use transit. The B and D Lines both run under Wilshire, so downtown and Hollywood are a short ride away, and the restaurants run late in a way most of LA does not. It is dense and noisy compared with the Westside, which suits some travelers and not others.
