Using your gift card
Yes, both in store and online. PetSmart does not publish a cap on how many cards can be stacked on a single purchase.
At approximately 1,600 PetSmart stores in the US, Canada, and Puerto Rico, and online at petsmart.com. The card also covers services including grooming, Doggie Day Camp, training classes, and PetsHotel boarding at locations that offer it. It does not work at Petco, Chewy, or independent pet stores. Physical cards are activated at the register at purchase. E-gift cards arrive active -- enter the card account number and PIN at checkout on petsmart.com or hand the card to a cashier in store. No separate activation step is required.
Through Dyme, $25 to $500 in variable whole-dollar amounts. Through PetSmart.com or any PetSmart register, $5 to $500.
Balance, reloads & expiry
No. PetSmart gift cards have no expiration date and no fees. The full balance stays on the card until it is used.
Look up the balance on petsmart.com/help/gift-services-H0005.html using the card number and PIN, ask any associate at a PetSmart store to scan it at the register, or call PetSmart Customer Care at 1-888-839-9638. Check your PetSmart balance
Physical gift cards can be reloaded with value at any PetSmart retail store in the US or Canada. eGift cards cannot be reloaded -- to add more, purchase a new eGift card.
Refunds, lost cards & acceptance
No. PetSmart gift cards are non-refundable once purchased. They can be re-gifted, applied to a merchandise or service purchase, or used toward Autoship and same-day delivery orders.
PetSmart cannot guarantee replacement but may issue a new card for the unredeemed balance with adequate proof of purchase and the card number. Contact PetSmart Customer Care at 1-888-839-9638 or email giftcards@petsmart.com immediately. The maximum that can be associated with any one card is $500.
Yes. The card is valid for PetsHotel overnight boarding, Doggie Day Camp, grooming salon appointments, and training classes, in addition to merchandise. PetsHotel is not in every location -- check the PetSmart store locator before booking. The card does not work at Petco or Chewy.
Buying & corporate
Yes. PetSmart's corporate gift-card program handles volume orders with custom denominations and bulk invoicing for employee rewards, incentives, and client gifts.
Buy on Dyme at face value and earn 1 Dyme Mile per dollar -- 5 Miles per dollar during special offers. Cards are also carried by Kroger stores digitally. See the PetSmart gift card buying guide.
