Using your gift card

Yes. Up to five Staples gift cards can be applied to a single purchase, both in store and on staples.com.

At any of the 1,000+ Staples U.S. retail stores or on staples.com. The card covers merchandise, technology, office supplies, furniture, ink and toner, and in-store Print and Marketing services. Two exclusions in the terms: Instacart orders placed through Staples and custom Print and Marketing Services ordered through staples.com cannot be paid with a gift card. How to use your Staples card

Through Dyme, Staples eGift cards are variable-load from $3 to $500 in $1 increments. Staples' own site sells physical cards in fixed increments up to $500.

Balance, reloads & expiry

No. Staples gift cards never expire and carry no dormancy or service fees. The full purchased value stays on the card until it's spent.

Visit the gift card balance page at staples.com/giftcards and enter the 19-digit card number and PIN. You can also call the automated line at 1-888-609-6963, or ask any Staples cashier to look up the balance at checkout. Check your Staples balance

Refunds, lost cards & acceptance

Contact Staples customer support at 1-888-609-6963 immediately. Physical cards can be replaced only with valid proof of purchase and only for the remaining balance at the time of the claim. eGift cards without proof of purchase cannot be replaced, so keep your purchase confirmation email. Treat the card like cash.

No. Staples terms explicitly prohibit using a Staples gift card to purchase other gift cards -- including additional Staples cards, third-party merchant cards, Visa or Mastercard prepaid cards, and wireless top-up cards.

No. Staples gift cards are non-refundable once purchased. They can be re-gifted or applied to any purchase Staples sells.

Buying & corporate

Yes. Staples retail stores stock a wide range of third-party gift cards including Amazon, Google Play, PlayStation, Xbox, Nike, Chipotle, and Visa and Mastercard prepaid cards. However, you cannot use a Staples gift card to purchase those other gift cards -- the terms explicitly prohibit gift-card-on-gift-card transactions.

Yes. Staples runs a business gift-card program with volume pricing, custom denominations, and invoicing for employee rewards and client gifts. Contact the Staples corporate gift-card team to order.
