Where a Chico's card works
A Chico's gift card works at Chico's boutiques, Chico's Outlets and Chico's Off The Rack stores in the US, and online at chicos.com and chicosofftherack.com. You can also use it to pay over the phone.
Online, it's for US orders only. Cards issued in Canada are a separate thing and only work in Chico's stores in Canada.
Does it work at White House Black Market or Soma?
No, even though they're sister brands. Chico's, White House Black Market and Soma are all part of KnitWell Group, which Sycamore Partners has owned since January 2024. But each one sells its own gift card, and each brand's terms keep that card to its own stores and website.
So if the person you're buying for is really a Soma shopper, get a Soma card instead. We've written up the Soma gift card too.

Our take: at $10, a Chico's card makes a good stocking filler or a thank-you. Pick the eGift if you need it today or want it to arrive on a set date. The mailed card ships separately from any clothes you order, and shipping is included if you choose basic delivery.
Can I buy one at Target, Amazon or Costco?
Stores change their gift card racks all the time, online and at the checkout. Big retailers like Target, Amazon, Costco, Walmart, Kroger and CVS carry a rotating selection of brand cards, so check the shop's own gift card catalog before you make a trip for this one.
When we last looked, Amazon had a $50 Chico's physical card, though it didn't show up when we searched Amazon's gift card section. The online gift card catalogs at Target, Staples and Sam's Club didn't list one. We didn't check Costco, Walmart, Kroger or CVS, so those are an open question rather than a no.
Can I buy it on Dyme?
Not at the moment. Dyme doesn't sell Chico's gift cards, so you'll need one of the places above. If you'd like to earn Dyme Miles on a gift card, here are the brands we do sell.
Can I get one at a discount?
Not from Chico's. It says its special offers and discounts don't apply to gift cards. And be careful with cheap ones on resale sites: Chico's terms say a card that has been resold is void.
The safer way to get more for your money is to pay for the card with a credit card that earns rewards. Check how yours treats gift card purchases first, because plenty of cards leave them out of their bonus categories.
How to check the balance
Go to Chico's balance page and enter the 16-digit card number and the 4-digit PIN from the back of the card. You can also check at chicosofftherack.com or call customer service on 888.855.4986. Keep the number and PIN handy, because Chico's asks for both whenever you get in touch about a card.
Expiry, fees and the fine print
- Expiry and fees: Chico's terms say its cards don't expire and have no fees.
- Reloading: you can't add money to a card once it's used up.
- Returns: mailed cards are final sale, and an eGift can't be returned or cancelled once it's received. If you return clothes you bought with a card, the refund comes back as a Chico's merchandise return card.
- Lost or stolen: with proof of purchase, Chico's will move what's left onto a new card. For a mailed card call 888.855.4986; for an eGift call (844) 455-2382 and have the confirmation email ready, because it won't be replaced without it.
- Cash: you can cash out an eGift once the balance is under $10, but a mailed card only where the law requires it.
- What you can't buy with it: other gift cards.
Buying for a team
Chico's doesn't publish a corporate or bulk gift card program. It does cap what one person can buy: $500 on a single card, $5,000 in a day and $10,000 in any seven days.
