Booking and payment

Chloe finds and recommends; booking and payment happen on travel.dyme.earth. Nothing is booked or paid inside the assistant.

From a choice to a booking

  1. The traveller picks a hotel room or a flight. Chloe checks the price again and shows a review: the room or flights, dates, cancellation terms and total, with one Continue to checkout button.
  2. The button opens a booking link on travel.dyme.earth. The link carries the choice, so the traveller does not pick it again.
  3. The traveller is signed in as the Dyme account that connected the assistant. If the browser is signed in as someone else, Dyme asks them to sign in as the right account.
  4. Dyme prices the choice again. If the price has moved, the traveller sees the new price and confirms it.
  5. Checkout opens with the traveller's saved Dyme details filled in. The traveller pays there.

A booking link works once and expires. Anyone who opens a forwarded link is asked to sign in as its owner, so a link in a shared conversation does not book for someone else.

Prices

  • The price on a card is what Dyme charges for that stay or fare on those dates. Dyme's checkout shows the full breakdown before payment.
  • Signed-in members see member rates. The cards show the member price; they do not mark it separately.
  • Flight fares can sell out within minutes. Before re-sending a fare from an older search, the assistant checks it is still on sale.
  • Price comparisons read other sites' public prices at the moment of the check. A price elsewhere can change before the traveller clicks.

Price match

When another booking site shows a lower price, Chloe offers to send a price match request to the Dyme team. The request is an email with both prices and links. The team replies to the traveller.

Changes and cancellations

Chloe never changes or cancels a booking. request_change and request_cancellation email the Dyme team with the booking, the request and, for cancellations, the free-cancellation deadline. A person checks it is the account holder, makes the change with the hotel or airline, and confirms with the traveller. Refunds are Dyme's figure, stated by the team.

Work trips

For travellers whose company uses Dyme for Business, the company's policy decides what can be booked directly:

Company setting What the traveller gets
Inside policy, or the company only warns A Book button
Approval required A request to the company's approvers instead of a Book button; the approval email carries the booking link
Not allowed No Book button and no request

A trip the traveller declares personal is searched and linked as personal, and stays off the company's books.
