Walking distance to the park boundary was the primary filter. Any hotel beyond 1 mile was cut. From the remaining pool, we required geographic spread — no more than two hotels from the same side of the park — so the list covers the Upper West Side, Upper East Side, Columbus Circle, and Midtown South approaches. We also required at least one mid-range option so the list works for travelers who aren't booking a suite. Every hotel was cross-checked for current operating status in 2026.
